Oral presentations

The time allocated for a presentation is 15 minutes, with a further 3 minutes allowed for discussion. Chairs are instructed to stick to the time, so please remember this when you are preparing your presentation. It is generally distracting to the audience to have too many slides in a short presentation and do not put too much text on a slide – you want the audience to listen to you and not to be reading your slides.

You will probably wish to prepare some PowerPoint slides to support your presentation. You will not generally be able to plug your own laptop into the conference projection system.

To ensure a smooth presentation setup, we kindly ask that you send your presentation as soon as finished, but before Monday 11th 12:00 to If necessary, please use for large files.

The layout and setup of the special session is free and should be different from the layout of regular thematic sessions. We highly recommend an interactive setup of the session. During the conference, please make sure that your are on time at the premises to prepare your session.
